    Description

    Here is a very nice, early Van Briggle Pottery vase with an unusual pebbled surface olive matte green glaze.  It is number 49 in the shape book, designed in 1902 by Artus Van Briggle and the design is called "Leaves and flowers; two handles". It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, firing flaws, or repairs. It measures 9 3/4 inches tall and 7 5/8 inches in diameter at the widest.   Marks include the firm's double AA box mark, shape number 49, and the date, 1905.
