  • Condition: The ashtray has a smooth tar type substance on the bottom (probably so it wouldn't scratch a wood surface). It appears that you would be able to scrape it off though. No chips or cracks.

    Description

    Here are two pieces of purplish mauve Van Briggle pottery.
    The ashtray or plate measures 6 5/8" in diameter.
    The bowl measures 6 1/4" in diameter.
    NOTE: The ashtray has a smooth tar type substance on the bottom (probably so it wouldn't scratch a wood surface). It appears that you would be able to scrape it off though.
    No chips or cracks.
